mulletover aren’t afraid to take risks, one of the few events that is perfectly in tune with their audience desires and with each party gathers momentum. They stand out and have won the heart of the London underground scene due to their unique approach to pushing fresh talent and forward-thinking sounds, each time on a new dancefloor. mulletover maintains secret locations for each event, reminiscent of the earlier East London scene where warehouse parties were as common as pointy shoes, they have preserved their edge and are now the elite of the underground house and techno scene.

March of 2008 brings them to their fourth year of parties, their journey has seen the crowd follow them on to boats, through forests, to disused garages, open fields and a lighthouse in Ibiza. They have hosted arenas at TDK Cross Central festival, spent a Summer taking over Space’s Discotec for the infamous We Love.. in Ibiza and been a part of the charitable festival Lake of Stars in Malawi, Africa. 

mulletover continue to push boundaries in terms of music, offering new local talent a chance to shine alongside their up and coming contemporaries from across the Globe. While still ensuring regular appearances from the scenes leading lights. Guests this year have included Tobi Neumann (Cocoon), Damian Lazarus (Crosstown Rebels), Ivan Smagghe (Blackstrobe), Zip (Perlon), Matthias Tanzmann (Moon Harbour), Will Saul (Simple), Daniel Stefanik (Moon Harbour), Meat (Cocoon), Cassy, Adultnapper (Ransom Note), Alfredo and room 2 hosted by Phonica Records, We Love..Space, Horse Meat Disco, Size Doesn’t Matter and Tayo’s Tracksuit Party. 

Each party has been guided by the talent of the only mulletover resident Geddes, familiar for outstanding productions as part of Rekleiner and this year brought a solo ep on Tsuba with more to follow in 2008 on his own murmur records amongst others. His distinctive deep and melancholic sound brings warmth to the party and drive to the dancefloor. His partner Rob Star has built up a repertoire of successful events in the city and is blessed with the gift of always ensuring each event runs smoothly. Together they guarantee each mulletover is better than the last. 

mulletover work hard to bring in new faces and diverse music with an element of surprise. Their parties adopt varying themes to coincide with personal and public occasions. October’s Halloween party is famed for being the best-dressed turnout in the capital bringing Texas Chainsaw Massacre beside angels in pink wings whereas March’s wig party brought together rastas and comb-overs in celebration of mulletover’s birthday. 

The pace only looks set to accelerate in the coming year with Ewan Pearson, Efdemin, Sebo K, Dixon, Sian as well as Trailer Trash and Girlcore already invited to join the fun and novelty that have made mulletover the most anticipated part of every true music-lover’s month.
