Continental Drifts – After 16 years programming stages at 100s of festivals across Europe, from Glastonbury’s Shangri la to Roskilde, Continental Drifts are long-time connoisseurs and exponents of the best festival music and the weirdest, most wonderful cabaret, circus and street theatre. The Drifters are here to attempt to top last year’s incredible Toots and the Maytals set on the Time Out stage. A very special place within the Lovebox festival. Here you can discover acts from all over the world. Musically it is centred around the best break-through and established artists in folk, rock & roll, country and reggae. It’s a chance to discover something you weren’t expecting. You can catch the gorgeous folk of Alela Diane or Rachel Unthank, the majestic swamp rock of Dengue Fever, or the indescribable world music fusion of Think Of One. Fans of reggae are in for a real treat with three amazing acts: New Zealand’s The Black Seeds, France’s The Dynamics, and from New York Easy Star All-stars much loved for their ‘Radiodread’ and ‘Dub Side Of The Moon’ albums. Saturday is headlined by Young Blood Brass Band, whilst Sunday sees Hayseed Dixie turn country music on its head.
